Grüner Veltliner
The versatile Grüner Veltliner is the most important grape variety grown in Austria. It covers over one third of the Austrian vineyards. The spectrum of the Grüner Veltliner is sweeping, extending from lively, fresh peppery wines that are best drunk young to more concentrated, structured wines rich in extracts that bring out the white pepper aroma of the grape with a touch of citrus and honey. These wines can age well.
