Borbarát (in Hungarian)
Borbarát or Friends of Wine is probably Hungary's oldest wine magazine. The title of this quarterly is very aptly chosen, it's really a labor of love, very well researched and written with excellent photographs. Regularly it reviews the wines of Hungary's main wine regions and presents extensive tasting notes. Unfortunately, all this valuable information is only available in Hungarian language. Borbarat's editor, László Alkonyi, is the author of several beautiful books on Tokaj which are among the very best publications on the crown jewel of Hungarian wine culture.
