Our only wine from Continental Croatia has to be a Graševina. This is the most typical white wine produced in Croatia. It is light (only 11% alcohol) and refreshing, a delightful summer sipping wine. Pairs very well with vegetarian dishes, salads, and sea food.
For those of you interested in knowing what this mysterious grape varietal is, we will lift the secret. What Croatian lovingly call Graševina is known in the neighboring countries as Welschriesling, Olasz Rizling, Laški Rizling, or simply Riesling Italico. Cheers! |
