Wine blogger Alder Yarrow of Vinography just returned from a trip to Austria where he tasted a number of Zweigelts. Here is what he wrote about the JURIS Selection 2010: "Light to medium purple in the glass, this wine smells of wood smoke, evoking vivid images of the burning of vine canes on a cold winter's day. In the mouth, bright cassis and dark cherry flavors have a light tannic base and beautiful earthy component. Elegant and stony, with a crystalline purity."
Taste the fine 2008 vintage and compare notes with Vinography . |
