This is the Premier release of a modern wine made from the historic grape varietal Crljenak Kaštelanski. This grape has been identified as the identical origin of the Californian Zinfandel and Primitivo grown in Southern Italy. It was almost extinct in Croatia and has been resurrected and replanted by Zlatan Plenkovic with the support of Paul Draper of Ridge Vineyards and researchers from the University of Zagreb.
