Another distinct "Island Wine" is the Žlahtina made by Anton Katunar on the Island of Krk. Žlahtina is the name of the indigenous grape varietal only grown here. Katunar is known to be the master vintner for this particular Croatian specialty:
A light, refreshing white wine which exhibits aromas of lemons and other citrus fruits. The wine pairs well with light salads and traditional Croatian see food. It also matches equally well with spicing used in Thai cooking. |
