Zlatan Plenković - Zlatan Plavac barrique - 2007

This rare, extraordinary full-bodied wine from the steep Southern slopes of the Island of Hvar in Croatia demands serious attention. The complex and powerful taste of the Plavac Mail grape is enhanced by a lingering, constant nose on which floats delicious aromas of herbs and minerals. It has matured in Slavonian oak for more than 12 months, hence the special designation " barrique". This Zlatan Plavac Barrique has gently aged over time and is now in perfect drinking condition. Big and bold in flavors, yet with a very smooth and elegant texture.

Made by master wine maker, Zlatan Plenkovic. He was named Croatian Wine Maker of the Year in 2005 and in 2007.

Like no other, this wine represents the best of contemporary wine making in Croatia. Zivjeli!
