Hárslevelü means "linden tree leaf," and refers to the shape of the grape leaves of this Tokaj white wine grape. It has a pale greenish straw yellow color with highly aromatic fruity, aroma. Hárslevelü is the second component in Hungary's renowned Tokaj dessert wines, adding its spicy perfumed character. Hárslevelü also makes a lovely dry, soft white table wine, rich in flavor and bottled after maturation in wooden casks. Its delicate elderflower and lime tree blossom notes demonstrate the characteristics that gave this grape variety its name. It is flowery, fresh and charming with more underlying power than is apparent from its finely balanced gently floral style. It has lovely broad peachy aromas, with hints of honey. It is faintly spicy on the palate and offers more elegant acids than Furmint, and some tartness in the finish.
Charming spicy aromatic white wine

"Good Hárslevelü is typically deep green-gold, very vicsous, full and powerfully flavored"
