Our Notes: Sorry, Sold out!

Simply one of the very best Plavac Mali wines, the Croatian cousin of the Californian Zinfandel, produced today. Niko Bura produces less than 200 cases of this, his only wine from the famed Dingač Grand Cru vineyard on the Pelješac Peninsula in South Dalmatia.

Niko organically farms his tiny 45 degree sloped vineyard by hand. The fruit is then hand harvested, sorted and then aged in a combination of used and new Slavonian oak and finally bottled unfiltered. His rendition of Dingač is the most unique, delicious and prestigious wine to ever come out of the Dalmatian Coast. Bura Plavac Mali is an extravagant wine of high extract, with intense black fruit on the nose, along with pine and a note of dry hay. Ample acidity and tannin support the lush, creamy black fruit including figs and blueberry jam and earthy notes on the palate.
