Our Notes: The 2016 Bohém Cuvée is a great introduction to a reductively made wine from Szent György-hegy. Pulling from all three vineyards (Váradi, Tarányi, Mogyorós) and a blend of all Olaszrizling, Pinot Gris, Rhine Riesling and Sauvignon Blanc, it allows the salt, smoke and energy of the basalt soils to permeate gapes we might know well from other appellations around the world. It’s a strong argument for the character of the region and is exactly what should be in your glass as you look out over the Hungarian Sea. Serve it chilled with charcuterie or spiced pork roast.
