Our Notes: The protected grand cru vineyards of Ivan Dolac on the Island of Hvar overlooks a Mediterranean paradise. The hearty Plavac close relative to California's famous Zinfandel bask in the reflective rays of the sun and the sea. Here Plavac attains is full power. Producing long lived monumental reds of astonishing grip, density and perfume. This is one of Croatia's great wines to behold.

Svirce wineries Ivan Dolac is one of the very few certified organic wines in Croatia. A big beauty. Dark red. Rich, fruity nose. Spicy, ripe fruit, cloves and well integrated oak. Full, fruity taste, dark berries backed up by good acidity and firm tannins. Surprisingly this sea tinged red is often consumed with seafood even oysters but really suits most anything braised.
