Our Notes: While geographically closer to Italian Pinot Grigio, Cvetko’s Pinot Gris is stylistically more akin to the Pinot Gris of Alsace, France. Full, multi-layered and age-worthy, it is easily one of the richest wines of the Kogl Estate. Grapes were hand harvested from vines planted to Pannonian sand and then fermented with selected yeast after a brief cold soak on the skins. Pale in the glass with the slightest rosy hue, its pronounced fruity aromas, silky texture and weight beg for full flavored butter rich dishes with lots of slow cooked onions and herbs. The acidity will also cut through heavier sauces, soups and melted cheese.

The “Mea Culpa” or “my fault” on the label accompanied by his fingerprint is less about an apology and more about taking responsibility and ideally credit

91 Points Wine & Spirits Magazine Best Buy “a pinot gris with clean flavors of the grape, this layers pears and whetstone scents with pale wheat. It's lush and creamy while holding to freshness. Serve this cellar temperature with an oyster pan roast.
