Our Notes: The main reason for Chardonnay is to have a white wine around the Eszterbauer house. “No...Fiam!”, or “Well my son!” is a local idiom, often used to begin a story between friends. This fresh Chardonnay is for conversation. Juicy, fruitful and dry, with that special charm to keep friends lingering over one more glass. Coincidentally, Chardonnay finds itself much at home in Szekszárd. Though simple, it is imbued with the same levity and silky minerality found in the better known reds. 2011 was a sensational vintage, grapes were harvested under warm dry conditions beginning of September. The wine will pair nicely with poached fish with lemon, light cheese or fresh, vegetable based pasta dishes.
