Our Notes: Only two bottles left! Portugieser is the most common grape variety in Villány. In the ancient local legend it represented the Cat: proud and independent but smooth, which is why it was named 'Macska'. 2013 was a roller coaster year with snow in April followed by heat but thanks to a beautiful Indian summer in late October, all the grapes ripened well, producing a wine with good acidity and moderate alcohol. This is a velvety light wine with an emphasis on fruits. The taste of red berries is enhanced with just a touch of spiciness. A lovely wine for everyday drinking. Enjoy it with Hungarian Lángos and cured and smoked meat.
