Our Notes: Long prized for its vibrant character and uncanny ability to age, ‘Ravan’ is the house name for the local variety formerly known as Tocai Friulano, Sauvignon Vert, Sauvignonasse, and most recently Jakot. Kabaj’s Ravan has a full palate with flavors of citrus and exotic herbs and spices, like lemongrass. Beautiful with cured meats or roasted root vegetables.

The 2012 Kabaj Rebula prompted Wine & Spirits Magazine to name Kabaj a Top 100 Winery in 2015! The wine is fermented on the skins for 30 days with wild yeast. Distinctively spicy and orange hued, it has aromas more reminiscent of red wine, including cherry and pepper. Despite a month of the skins, this is not an oxidatively styled orange wine, but rather a white wine with texture without sacrificing acidity. Rated 94 points by Wine & Spirits Magazine.
