Shavnabada Rkatsiteli 2003

Shavnabada, Kakheti (Georgia)
White (12.8%) , Organic
Sorry, sold out
Our Notes: Sold out! A remarkable wine that spent 12 years buried in the earth right outside the church. The color is a deep golden amber. Aromas and flavors are more spice and toasted nut than fruit. It could be the fact that it is made by monks or that it spent so much of its life right outside the church, but drinking this wine feels sacred and transports you to another place.

Try this rich amber wine with heavier meat dishes. Grilled or braised dishes would be an excellent accompaniment.
