Our Notes: Öküzgözü is a deeply-colored variety indigenous to Turkey. Known as Bull’s Eye for its large, dark berries, it has fruit-forward flavors of black cherry and raspberry with lively acidity comparable to a full-bodied Barbera or balanced California Zinfandel. Balanced and expressive, the wine shows aromas of bright red cherry and plum flavors spiced with clove and cardamom, underscored by notes of leather and earth. The wine pairs well with kebabs, smoked and grilled meats, and eggplant dishes.

San Francisco International Wine Competition 2014 Bronze.
Master of Wine Istanbul 2012 89 Points.
