Our Notes: Blend of Cabernet Sauvignon 67% Petit Verdot 33% aged in French oak for 12 months, from the Thrace wine region in the northwestern-most corner of Turkey sharing borders with Greece and Bulgaria. In 1993, Cabernet Sauvignon was the first international variety planted at Gulor’s estate vineyards in Tekirdag (Teh-kir-dah) which are sited on the north shore of the Marmara Sea. These mature estate Cabernet Sauvignon vines contribute red fruit, structure and finesse to the blend. Petit Verdot also thrives here and this late-ripening variety adds floral aromas, structure from high tannins and deep color to the blend with flavors of deep, blue fruit and exotic spice. Enjoy the wine with rich beef stew, grilled ribeye steak, and regional Turkish dishes.
